The Mandrake Project is Dickinson’s seventh solo album and his first since Tyranny Of Souls in 2005. The Mandrake Project is a dark, adult story of power, abuse and a struggle for identity, set against a backdrop of scientific and occult genius. This is surprisingly crushing heavy and superb throughput. Bruce also delivers a re-recording his track If Eternity Should Fail which originally appeared on Iron Maiden’s 2015 release The Book Of Souls though it was always intended to be part of The Mandrake Project. This album is the logical evolution of the style that Bruce explored on his brilliant 1998 solo effort The Chemical Wedding and an even stronger album then Tyranny Of Souls.
